I love you I say this not in quip or easily to flow upon your ear For I have searched and lived the passage of a disappointed tear I need not stroke your ego, or possess you by the breath For it is not a selfish thing, nor will it spring to death I tell you of my heart because I lay myself this open to the truth It is not more special than the treasure your life holds, and I have proof I will not give you less, to solve a temporary ploy, a momentary peak I will not say that I deny this easily, what you fear the most and never speak I keep myself for only you, for I miss nothing in the wait of what I know is true Inside the soup you offer me as friendship said, the stock is richer than the stew I tell you this into your eyes, for that is how I see you here and gone I will not pretend to glaze the surface when submersed in seas so strong I say this not to challenge you, I lay myself in naked sight, for I am safely held For you to silence every selfish game, in knowing clean and clear now welled For I have searched a lifetime to discover your sweet smile to tenderly enfold I love you with each breath I draw and in each heart held thought for you I’ve told Copyright Kkh 11/28/02 |

Kathleen, so beautiful. I know I say that all the time to you, but you do such excellent work, that I can't find words to describe it, sometimes. I, too, believe that you have to truly "like" a person before you can truly be "in love" with them, so friendship is certainlt an important ingredient of love. "Love makes the world go around" |
