Listening to every heart

0 posted 2002-11-26 08:28 PM

Your Poem

It is your hand
that bleeds me life,
your sounds expanding lungs,
your brush, your paint,
your words of hurt
lined in brine

and this is how
I am born.

You write of joys sugar-plumed
from memory’s grasp,
then turning a lane,
bring shadows of light
to meet dark revelations,
and your pen inks them
in blackest gloom.

You are the diver
reaching depths
that even whales will not go
and here, now
one would find you
still reaching
to touch a
center.

You are the moth
to flame,
a lady in search of her knight,
a tribute
in search of a goddess.

I am your poem.

I am the lady spun from silk
and rags

the gentle man soured and
bent, grateful for life

I am the child that
Heaven sent

Whose laughter
only fairies may hear

Where imagination is a flight
into regions yet explored,

and I am war, starvation, greed
and avarice, horrid tales that
leave hearts torn.

I am the conscious,
subconscious,
and at times,
the unforgiving.

I am love,
a dream worth living.

I am craft carved by your quill,
a mind in solemn bent, and still.

I am your poem,
An ode penned from deep your vessel

And you are responsible in
turning me into sound or Braille,
to leave me fly or keep me railed
allowing me to tenderly touch
or gash the thought of men
just do not be such to Muse
that you give her no ken.

I am yours,
but won’t be owned.

I am yours,
a swift atone.

You, the poet ~
Me, your poem.

Karilea~ Your words flow so smooth. This is simply lovely.

The poet gives us words that say

Greatness all over. A wonderful depiction of the gift of words from above.

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love
