Your eyes are burned towers
losing their ruin,

a glow under ice
of fire and snow.

They open dark windows
latched tight as doorways,
and suffer the silence --

and say "I don't know."

They press shapes of letters
into my back
and leave my sides heaving,

and leave off attack.

Bring them quite slowly
rising toward heaven,
bring them to my eyes.

Perhaps we'll grow.

A glow under ice,
a snowy white fire
burning the flowers
of underwater.

Perhaps the power.
Perhaps the streetposts.
Perhaps I love you
at least this discreet.

Bring them quite slowly
up to the window.

Blink through the shatter.

Together, let's go.

bravo mike! you keep writing them, I'll keep reading them and learning from you how to mix the play of word and image into a surreal reality

surreal, ethereal with a tortured angsty edge of ache...wrapped up in color and light
and the solitude of night...tied up with a bow of your heart's intend....she inspires amazing things in your pen my friend.
go...head for the snow...and the glow.

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you cant tell
but stay awhile, maybe then you'll see
a different side of me

Yanno? you really have to stop this. You could end up turning into, like, a poet or something.

Damn! squirrel dude.

It came to me 15 minutes before I left work for home. Thanks, everyone.
