My First Stone Novemeber 17, 2002 Copyright 2002 Doug Pretorius Yet another riddle, wandered into my mind, about when I was bit a boy, in the grand scheme of time. Another stone skipped about. among the shore's breaking waves. much as this rhyme dances, neatly through these staves. A beautiful blue summer day, when I was but three or four, I'm told that's an early memory, the first one is usually after a few years more. But I digress from the story, you're surely eager I tell, the next thing I remember, is the ring of the lunchtime bell. Oh, but perhaps I forgot to tell you, just where I was that day, a lovely little fair weather resort, nestled in a quiet bay. And did I mention who I was with, because I was naturally not alone, yes, my father looked on proudly, as I skipped my very first stone. |

Doug...Very enjoyable. To dream of childhood days when we recall all we've done is a wonderful journey...Paul |
