This is written for my high school friend, Judy... We visited her in Bethesda, Maryland while we were on vacation... Judy and I hadn't seen each other in 42 years

Lyra, This is a beautiful poem to your friend. Isn't it something how the years just roll away when you see a friend after such a long time? I can totally relate to the feeling young inside, too....Gary makes me feel like a little ole teenager....and I love it. Well, I've heard you're only as old as you feel...right?? First, because you still have the child in you. I think I'm losing my already. Second, because there are many, many people I would like to run into at some point... At the moment I'm more happy for you than jealous. I seem to be prone to mood swings...  Anyway, I did love the poem!Kielo According to statistics, a man eats a prune every twenty seconds. wow! i hope my friends and I can pick up where we left off after so long, although I also hope i don't lose touch with them for so long. i especially like stanzas 2,3, and 4, in this day and age it is nice to be reminded of more innocent times, when 4 year olds in this country did not know what terrorism was. -majnu |
