Two little boys with troubled
lives from the start
Have found their way
into all our hearts
We've read and heard their stories
with questions in our minds
Had our own opinions
always wanting to be kind
With the court trying to be fair
they're being sentenced today
Our hearts go out to them
for where they'll have to stay
To the crime that was done
they admit they did take part
Two little boys, with troubled
lives from the start
Our question on this day
could always be unknown
From the start of their young lives
were they much love really shown?
As this report I watch
with tears down my face flowing
I wonder what will happen to them
in the place where they are going
Their story isn't over
of this for sure are we
What happens to these little boys
in the future we will see
No matter what comes
of the lives of these two
What exactly will be the outcome,
I have no idea, do you?
Two little boys, with troubled
lives from the start
Have certainly found
a place into my heart

This story has ripped at the hearts of all; especially Moms and Dads.

Hard to believe these two adorable boys could have so much trouble and agony in their young lives. Makes me want to cry.

Thanks for writing about them Ethel. They so need our prayers.

Huggles, Marti

Thank you, Marti, for your reply. Even though I don't know them personally, the whole situation has really touched my heart. I'm sure all concerned appreciate your prayers. I even felt sorry for the judge and prosecuter today, too.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Ethel, this is so heartbreaking, while indeed they are guilty for this crime, I too have sympathy for the boys on the other side of the issue, for I feel they got a lack of love and while whats done is done, you can't help but think there is more than two guilty consciences here! (wipes tears) My heart goes out to the whole family and other parents grieved by this, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Ethel, I was vaguely familiar with this case, so can't comment. But I can say I am glad to see you continuing with different topics, branching out in your poetry writing, now in to current events. I can tell what a sensitive, loving person you are. And, perhaps with this poem many more prayers will go out to all concerned.

Warm Regards,
Pat

Noah, thanks for reading and replying to this sensitive issue. This situation has really touched the hearts of a lot of people. I guess it happening so close to where I live has made me really pay closer attention, or something.

Thank you, Pat, for reading and for your reply. I appreciate your comments.
The reason I wrote this was that I was hoping more people would pray for the people concerned. Thank you for seeing that.

Ethel~~ my heart is with them too, as are my prayers both for them and for all involved wether emotionally or with the justice system that must prosecute them. My only hope is that they will be sent somewhere that they can get the help they need. And hopefully one day, forgive and BE forgiven.. Guess that's two hopes..Keep praying Ethel, I know I will.

This was a beautiful, sorrowful poem, but parts of it made me smile... Possibly because I just watched Star Wars, and I kept hearing Yoda's voice. Forgive me. I don't think the effect of the poem was lost for it. Thank you.

I know very little about this case. But I did here some. I don't watch much TV so I don't get around to hearing about trials and what not. I feel bad for them through what I did hear and I hope they come out with a good life and I know they are loved by many.

I live in Pensacola and, not to give too much information, but I know the boys' uncle personally. Would you mind if I printed this to give to him? He has certainly had a hard time with losing his brother like that and dealing with the whole ordeal. He is a very quiet, laid-back, intelligent man, keeps mostly to himself and doesn't let anyone get too close, including me. But I know him well enough to know that this writing of yours would touch his heart, and maybe help him in some way that we could never comprehend in our own minds, for not having gone through it, but only watching from the sidelines.

Dixie, I live near Pensacola myself (my parents live there and I was raised there), so even though we don't know any of them personally, we still feel a part of them.
I would be honored to have you give anybody a copy of this poem, especially someone involved so closely as their uncle.
It was a terrible crime and  we all feel so bad about the little boys Dad, but also about the  children themselves. I can only imagine the feelings the families are going through.
I would have given to any of the concerned parties a copy of this thread if I had known how to get in touch with them or if they even wanted it. As I said earlier, I'd be happy for you to give any of them a copy.
Thank you, friend, for your kind and caring heart.

Greetings Garysgirl,

I too, don't know much about this crime except, for what little I have heard on the news. There is no doubt that this is a terrible tragedy. How this could come to pass is such a sadness. I can only bow my head and pray for all of the children who have had to become victims in a system that seems to have little regard for the old and the young.Far too often, the need for punishment is misplaced and the preditors of the young get away.

Thanks for writing about it and reminding us that these are real people and not just another movie script.
