We were there all night
With sun rising o'er water
The daybreak came forth

Rays of gold slipped in
breaking the fast of one night
Lo, the kiss still holds

Paladin, thanks so much for telling me that. I'm going to write it down, so I can remember next time I try to write one of these.

Noah....
Thanks, dear friend. I hope that you do get to live by the ocean one day, or at least close to the Gulf Of Mexico. The water is so nice to live by and, as you know, I love the beaches we have here in Florida.

Maureen...
Thank you sweet friend. I really appreciate you reading and replying to my little verse. I love to read your poetry.

Lovely in its simplicity!

I love Haiku. They're very difficult to write.

Corrine, thanks for reading and replying. I love these, too, but I haven't got them quite right, yet, I don't think. I know that a haiku is about nature, has 5-7-5 syllables, one line of reflection and two lines of descriptive imagery...and a few other pointers I've been told here. But, I need more practice, I think. I sure do like them, though.

you put all the practice you need in this little beauty garysgirl, wether we call it haiku or senryu, it still is a good piece.

Keep them coming and I'll keep enjoying.

Thank you so much, Titia, for reading and for your really sweet reply. I appreciate it so much.
I sure do enjoy your poetry and your pictures, too.
I'm glad, too, that your Mom is doing better.
