Tell Me True Hey there girl can ya tell me true What it was like back then, without the blue The day you discovered there in that park A frail old man running from the dark When innocence did abound in the eyes of child Before you grew and turned, just a little wild When you shared your food with a friend anew Just because you thought ‘twas the thing to do Hey there girl let me tell you true You’re still the same, just a little blue An innocence of heart that’s rare and pure With an angels look, an angels’ demure You give the glint of hope through the gloom That even now, we may yet bloom For it’s the little things, in little hearts That shows us all where we need to start Maybe all one can do is hope to end up with the right regrets. ~Arthur Miller |
