Sometimes it's hard to reconize my face, I look in the mirror, Think my soul's in the wrong place Sometimes you've just gotta look inside your self And say it out loud...... I'm a different person than the girl you see, The face and body that I'm in, Don't belong to me, But I'll understand If you can't see, Who I am, Cause i'm not me! Hard to understand why we look the way we do Wish I had magic vision, So I could just look through And see the way people really are Maybe then they would see..... I'm a different person than the girl you see, The face and body that I'm in, Don't belong to me, But I'll understand If you can't see, Who I am, Cause i'm not me! It can be so hard not to leave your soul behind Sometimes I can't stand this world, Need to let myself unwind But if people understood this would be unnessicery... I believe I read somewhere in here where you said you are 13....you write with heart and truth far beyond your years. I always felt the same as the person in this mirror..we do have to learn to see both sides...behind the mirrow as well. It takes time...but I have a good feeling you will get there.  take care jm No one has ever shown me how to see the world the way I see it now ... |

Wind, --I even like writing your name--as you know I'm a lover of windy days, windstorms, windswept pines...---and a lover of your poetry. It's like a ride on a magic carpet--sometimes you take us flying high, then you swiftly swoop down toward the earth--I always feel movement with your writing, even if it is just about you standing in front of a mirror pouring your heart out. Thanks to both of you, your replys were very sweet and very appreciated. Unfortunately, this was not the original poem, I lost it and had to make some of it up, but I am glad you guys enjoyed it. |
