You do this SOOO well, sweet Linda. Maybe one day I can do it, too. Thanks for sharing your talent. With Love And Best Wishes To All, Ethel [This message has been edited by garysgirl (11-02-2002 12:24 PM).] |

BC ~ To be perfectly honest with you, I tend to be able to recall the distant past more accurately than the recent one! haha ~ Have a great week-end, ST !!!...I mean BC--now do you see what I am talking about! LOL EA |

Ethel ~ Why, thank you!---but why don't you give writing these poems a whirl? I have always been considered by others (but not by me!)rather verbose, grandiose and overly flowery in my writing. My English teachers always got on my back for that. So, if I am now able to write half-decent Japanese short poems--anybody can! ~ hugs and smiles to you this fine fall day--at least it is here in southern Ontario! Linda |

They do, and yet some are so vivid it's as if they happened yesterday. Great job on this senyru, vivid in its message. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Ivy Rose ~ Thank you! That was very sweet of you to say so! Actually, I too had always thought that this poem would have been considered a "haiku" but since joining PiP, I have since learned that this poem is a senryu. They have the same form of 5-7-5 syllables, but haikus are strictly on nature. ~ May your world be full of the beauty of haikus and the wisdom of senryus! Earth Angel |

VAS ~ I know what you mean! Actually, I replied to BC that many of my past memories are more vivid to me than the more recent ones! Hm, I wonder what that implies?!? EA |

I'm glad that some of my memories have faded, though the happier ones have not. The stars will shine when I am gone, |

Auguste ~ That would be perfect! Forget what you would care to forget, and remember that which you would care to remember! EA |

(smiles) Oh Linda, I couldn't agree with you more, except maybe in my case because of my depressing childhood and knowing the best is yet to come, it seems usually the past memories are always the most precious and no time can ever erase them! (kiss on cheek) Always cherish those special moments, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Noah, as you wrote, "The best is yet to come"--keep that thought!---but don't forget to enjoy some of the good aspects in the present. ~ May your bad memories fade and be replaced with good memories of your present and of your future! Linda |

Oh my -- I can remember 'some' things from days gone by, but honey, don't ask me what I did this morning or what I had for breakfast. Oh wait, I don't eat breakfast. Now that's a pitiful memory! But then, some memories are better off being forgotten. I love your haiku's, they really have a lot of thought and meaning behind them. Hugs dear angel, Marti |
