Catch A Star

the night began
to write love letters
to the moon
she strung words
tied them tightly
sent them on balloons
took each gently
turning all over
to the breeze
openingly sending him
all she was
on the invisible seas
one by one
he caught them
forever shared are ours
scattered them
to read again
changing them to stars

I’m not disappointed,  I never expected anything from you.

...and 'tis the stars wherein I spread
the words mine heart has said,
for 'tis the stars I know thine eyes see each night,
the stars wherein I know you'll read
these words I send to thee...

Helen, This one is especially magnificent. Like it a great deal and when re-reading I can see the special sparkling stars. It is great!
