Tyrannosaurus Rex they call it. King dinosaur--tyrant lizard. There it stands. Close enough to touch. Its breathing deep Its lungs two monstrous bellows fed by the fires of hell. Its bloodstained teeth gleaming in the sunlight Sabered teeth never sheathed feet armed with scimitars used to rip and tear at its prey. It strides and the ground quivers like a resonating drum. It stares and its eyes cut a swath of fear through the underbrush like a laser. It breathes and the air seethes and sputters about its flaring nostrils two unfathomable caves leading to a bestial core. It roars and the forests tremble. But today, its gray mottled skin glistening beneath primeval twilight, it runs in terror from an angered sky and a predator wind unleashed by the gods. |

Thanks for your encouraging words. Don't know whether these creatures would have survived man's presence. Especially since the dinosaur eggs were so vulnerable. Must have been a terrifying sight though! God Bless! |

Radrook, this is very descriptive of a scary animal, I think. Gary loves them, though, and likes to read about them. Thanks for sharing. Love To All, Ethel |

I agree! I too like these animals. They are fascinating. I certainly wouldn't try exterminating them. It is a pity we can't at least go to the zoo and see one live. Well, maybe if they can do what they did in the picture Jurassic Park. Then we will be able to see them in all their glory. In the case of Rex though--at a distance--a very safe distance. LOL! Thanks for feedback! God bless! |
