This poem is very special to me because I entered it in a contest and out of the 1,000 that were entered, about 33 were chosen and this was one. As the waves pounded the shore of a moonlit beach, the horshoecrabs followed one by one But powerfull foam tossed them onto their backs, and I couldn't help but pity them. Most flipped themselves over and laid their eggs and returned to the water one by one. But as I began to turn away From the beach and the horshoecrab eggs, I noticed that one was still on its back, Tail waving madly, legs thrashing the salty air I picked it up and returned it to the water. Where i felt the rush of cold water on my legs. And as the waves pounded the shore of a moonlit beach, One last horshoecrab swam away. [This message has been edited by Wind (10-13-2002 03:17 PM).] |

(smiles) Oh Wind, I'm not suprised at all this won an honor, I was spellbound immediately when I saw the title and envisioned the relaxing ocean before me! (big hugggssssss) This is loveky, sweet friend, congratulations, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Liz, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." Shakira [This message has been edited by Mistletoe Angel (10-13-2002 04:34 PM).] |
