**Please come back today** Moon of battered nights Bleed with me, A silvery rain? Let it pour from my fingertips, Staining fragility, Abhorrent of the sun. Gently, A thousand broken melodies Will ring, Soundlessly? Somehow still echoing within my hollow mind. Instilled in this solemnity, Silence grows, Deafening; All preciousness lost unto tragedy. Watch as the blood comes My soul pricked by you, Cherished rose? Count the blessed thorns whilst they nullify, Beauty forgotten. I was the air, I was the midnight legacy; My eyes laced with darkened glory, Condemning this failing world. And your hands kept me, Still Motionless in the wake of sorrow, 'twas I; Drinking in the mercy, Of a tarnished lullaby; Deceptive. Darkness cannot linger in ebony delight, Dyeing mahogany. My hair stays one russet tinge, Tasting the bitterness of which I'm fed; Lies. I trust not a word that escapes those delicate lips, Your love means nothing? But yet, It is I who cries for tenderness. Oh, where are you when I feel like dying? Such is it that emptiness is my eternal song, Woven into fantasy. Starlight dips its sweet, sweet flavor Into my sapphire eyes, Sugared weeping they behold, Softly withered. Even as eternity relents, My own crystal heart will break? And now, I neatly shatter For, it is time to let you go. |
