I hear the rain coming, I'm beginning to feel, Its cold yet soothing drops. Yet again, The rain is here to comfort me, Always at the rite time. When i need its arms round me, To tell me all will be well. That all i have to do is wait, For only a little while. The rain, My best friend, At this time of the nite, When none seems to care. The rain, Here to keep me warm, Despite the shivers in my body. The rain, All i've got, Now and always... |

I enjoyed this piece and understand how the rain is so comforting...all the time! Nicely written and with beautiful emotions... Zai jian Carson (PS--walking in the rain during the night is fun, except it's a tad bit cold...heh heh...personal experience pays so well!) Star T~ I REALLY like this poem! I absolutely LOVE the rain. There is no better therapy for me than standing in a downpour and getting completely drenched. You have described the comforting effect very well. Wonderfully done. ~Vicky "...until you have read the verse on his heart, |

Well done! I love the rain. Any night it's raining I go out in the dark and walk, country roads are great! And if you need to cry then rain is even more of a soothing friend, it can help. You expressed the comfort of rain so well! keep it up. Always, GG - And so it was that time stood still - [This message has been edited by GG (12-15-2002 04:01 PM).] |

oooh, rain... *smiles dreamily* (can you tell I like this one? ) I only found two things: spelling, which is more common than one would think, and the capitilization of the beginning word of every line. I used to do that too, so I know how easy it is to do, and how difficult a habit it can be to break. If you read it carefully though, you'd see that the capitalization in the wrong places kinda detracts from the poem. If you have a period at the end of a line, then by all means capitalize the first word of the next line; but if you have a comma, then you don't really need to capitalize, you know? If you don't get what I'm saying (which is entirely likely with my mind being in the state it is in right now), then you can email me and I'll try to put my notions into clearer English. Again though, I like what you wrote, and I hope to see more Rj "it was cute, it was like he was shy and didn't want to make it too obvious" ~ Reena I'm Rhondiforous! A fellow rain lover, yay! This poem sums up nearly everything I like about the rain. Keep up the good work! Solipsism saves us from the atavism of the Equalitarian. |
