You're visbly cooling in my hands
have I let you down
did I not live up to what you expected me to be?
You always said I was good enough for you, just the way I was.

Will I always be wondering where you went
or will I someday stumble upon the truth?
You're still in the back of my mind
can I never be free of your presence?!

You still live in a sad part of my soul
where all things stay that I cared too much for to let go
and you still haunt me on some days
the days when nothing can make me smile.

I can't say I wish we'd never met
but sometimes I wish I could go back to those days
and change a few things
though you still would be gone in the end.

And I have to wonder what the future would've been
if you were still here
I can't cry enough tears for you
and for the happiness that might have come.

Don't let go, please
hold on, for me
I've stopped hoping
and I've given up waiting
please tell me you're still here.

There are so many days when you still haunt me
I can never cry enough tears for you
I need you here with me,
don't let the darkness take you.

Please tell me you're still here!
