aahh the things boredom will do to you......

I'm Going to Eat My Couch

The wonderful feeling of boredom
It's too cold to go chasing possums,
and it's too dark to watch the reindeer,
but I will eat to stop my hunger pains.

To my surprise, there is no food.
what in the name of Remote Controls do I do?
I spot the couch, sitting quietly.
It makes me more hungry.

So I pounce on it, and take a bite.
mmmmm.......delicious!
And it didn't even bite back,
like the cats and rabbits do.

The foam inside tastes like dust,
but it's the best dust I've ever had.
The covers remind me of the toilet paper
that they have in KFC bathrooms.

It tastes so good
I couldn't imagine
doing anything else
than eating my couch.

I don't know why it is, but whenever I finish a poem I never like it.This one was no exception. I'm beginning to run out of "funny" (or what everyone tells me is funny) ideas, so perhaps I will turn my attention to serious poems. Not that anybody here actually cares about this, I just thought I'd mention it.

It was a funny poem, which I think are rather rare. We need more of them! I don't know why but I personally find them hard to write.

they'll be some serious ones coming within the next day or two. I've got a couple already written and I think they're pretty good. I will try my best to keep the funny ones coming as well, but it's getting tougher and tougher.

I don't think you suck, I don't think you should stop writing humor, and I also think that you should wait until inspiration comes... don't force the humor to come out, okay? I love all your poems, you bring a twist to Teen that I haven't seen in a long while, if ever. And who says that serious poems are "real" poems, hmm? *grins* send me a mail if you ever feel like it.

nice nice nice....i like this one....maybe you should start writing about cows or something..hehe...anywayz..i liked this one....and i am SO excited about the "serious" poems you are talking about writing!!! WOO HOO...haha...great job!
