The Charge of the Rock Painters March to the highest hills Practicing their latest drills On the mountain of death Marched the one hundred Parachutes they left behind Marched into battle blind On the mountain of death Marched the one hundred Rock Paintors to the fore Arrayed here like none before screaming the name of hirr as the clouds thunder'd Ready to do and die No need to reason why under the darkened sky On the mountain of death Marched the one hundred Lemmings to the right of them Lemmings to the left of them Lemmings in front of them and they all wonder'd: beneath flying shot and shell if they had heard the bell signalling their march to hell On the mountain of death Marched the one hundred All of the Lemmings there Leaping into the air Diving without a care On the mountain of death As the ground thunder'd Cliff divers to the fore Leaping like none before Where only angels soar Dived the one hundred Lemmings to the right of them Lemmings to the left of them Lemmings on top of them all torn and sunder'd Shot at with shot and shell One hundred hero's fell From the mountain of death Into the jaws of hell Nothing was left of them Left of one hundred Oh the wild jump they made We see not their glory fade Whilst all the world wonder'd Honour the world they taint Honour the cliffs the paint Honour the hundred Andrew Always and forever |

Wow, I really liked this....the rhyming scheme was awesome.....it threw me off and made me think and I love stuff that does that to me! I had to actually think for a minute...I also liked the repeated of the ne hundred thing...the poem kinda centered around that and it was cool. Great job! LOL... Zu, this is BRILLIANT! You're awesome man! I LOVE parodies and you've done a marvelous job of this one... haha... seriously, this is bloody hilarious. First time I heard the "light brigade" was in ninth grade English class, and my teacher insisted on reading it out in a booming, enthusiastic tone that really brought out the drama of the poem... this brought me way back to that. I'll honour the one hundred by putting this in my library. GREAT work, bro... I thought you wrote this well Zu. An interesting piece. I don't really think I got it though, quite confusing I'll admit. Nonetheless, a good write. it'd be nice to hear a clarification as to what this is about ![]() ![]() This post has been brought to you by the 'Totally Awesome Society of Puerto Rican Egotistical Sexy Men'. |
