Malevolent waves of fury echo off the walls painting a vivid mental picture in stereo the sound of fists on flesh resound through the halls a child is screaming in agony, and you will never know The wall thuds with pleasure of a sort muffled moans and rusty springs creak weeks later she walks to the clinic to abort Now she is a whore, information leaked With a loud crack crimson trickled down the wall two sets of hands hurtled him against the bricks then released him letting the unconscious boy fall Will he ever get up again? A wall of silence falls between them he can't think of what to say she doesn't know how to mend and make this just go away these irrevokable, unmistakable occurences are the walls of pain they are immovable and unreplacable forever and ever they shall remain |

oh my god. this hit my chest harder and made it hard to breath. the things people go through. wow..you protrayed this so clearly. So creatively. The second stanza left me stunned and I read it over and over again. Great poem. Truely great in all its sad material. Lex.. [This message has been edited by Lexy (08-13-2003 06:08 PM).] |

Oh my God...this was unbelievable. I find it very difficult to write/read a poem like this...it's such a heartbreaking topic. But you portrayed this so well. This type of thing really makes you stop and think about how much worse off people are than you, brings you down a bit, and makes you appreciate the better things in life. Beautiful work. You caught my attention and kept it through-out the entire poem. The word usage was perfect. Beautiful poem...absolutely beautiful. It will definitely be going in my library for future reading. Wonderful poem! "I would sleep forever, if it meant I'd never stop dreaming..." |
