It's now been two months, since I last saw your face. It's now been two months since I was blessed by your grace. And yet your face is still fresh in my mind, I can recall it as if it were yesterday. Your pale, pale skin and tightened lips, your darkened eyes, from long-lost May. My dreams still torment me, though none have come since that faraway May, But they burned a mark in my mind, and I am forced to remember every day. Again and again they come, but it is not them I blame. It is a deep, dark fear, a fear I dare not name. Yet still I long for dreams, no matter how bad they may be, for they are still a path to you, the only path for me. And though I watch you slip away, each and every night, it's still the only way, should I try with all my might. Two years more I shall wait, until at long last I shall see your face. Two years more I shall wait, until at long last I shall be blessed by your grace. |

Oh my God. This poem described my situation SO much...it's seriously frightening. I'm going through the EXACT same thing. Thank you so much for this read...it has REALLY hit home. Nice poem, by the way. "I would sleep forever, if it meant I'd never stop dreaming..." |
