she stands an age away gently brushing her hair

you'll never get far enough away

you can never leave your cares and memories
far behind to see the new moon rising
without tears of yesterdays sunset
blocking your view

and although the days will fly by
you'll always return to the last thought you had about her
and you'll see yet another page of your heart fallen to the ground
as you gently set it one fire with
the used up passion of the past

so let the birds fly past you in the evening rain
that will scatter like icing
and fall inbetween your toes
and try to forget your ambition to be something
because of who you were
and your inability to forget the by gones
your going to be stuck
in your world of last week, month, year
for the next yesterday forever.

Wow...I liked this, especially the last two lines. Good job.

"It's the way that he makes you feel.
It's the way that he kisses you.
It's the way that he makes you fall in love"~Sugarcult
