Friendship Is A Dish...

Friendship is a dish best served
on a sunny summer day.
With juicy watermelons,
while the quiet crickets play.

Friendship is a dish best served
flavored with silly happiness
and seasoned with cold, shared tears,
a perfect blend to life's tounge.

Friendship is a dish best served
on those winter evenings
when nothing seems to be going right,
and you really need a hug.

Friendship is a dish best served
almost any time or place,
and friendship only gets better
as it grows stronger with age.

Friendship is a dish best served,
whenever you're in need,
and I am here to say that,
Friendship I'll always carry.

I think your poem hit all the right spots. It covered the highs and the lows of friendship very well without drawing either out too much which would have made the poem either too happy or too sad. Very nice.

Friendship is a delecacy that can never be enjoyed alone and you must first give friendship in order to enjoy it's true flavor. Friendship is a dish best.. served.
