I was sent to do a job they kept saying that it was done I would soon go back to my family back to the safe comforts of home away from this war torn country I didn't even want to fight I didn't want to kill anyone I just joined to pay for college I feel so alone nineteen and I have already seen death I held their bodies in my hands Had their blood soak my clothes I kept counting down the days to see my wife to be with her while she had our child now I am told I can't go home I must fight for my country My country who doesn't care where people curse the army I constantly think Why did we do this Just let them bomb the US they are taking our sacrifice for granted Then I think of my future son I want him to grow up free without worries His face I am fighting for The rest of the US can pretty much kiss my ass " I think I got a tan from the light in which i was basking." |

One word i would speak to you, soldier...but you know it too well already. Listen deep, ye product of fleshs sinned! Forget mystery! For i am a thing deeper still. |

very good poem, sad, but good, contains some reasons why i want to join the Army, freedom for my future family, not growing in fear, and if u are a soldier, thanks i admire u "If you love someone put their name in a circle not a heart, a heart can be broken but a circle goes on forever." |
