Short Skirts

Short Skirt looks in the Mirror,
‘Think I’ll be a poet today,
Think I’ll change the world okay?’

Short Skirt has insight, marks it ‘please read’,
‘Think this life’s too hard to initiate,
Think I’ll just do my best and imitate’.

Short Skirt rescues love from desire,
‘Think he’ll love me till the end of time,
Think I’m a poet, what rhymes…lime?’

Short Skirt reads Reality,
‘Think that it’s harshly deep,
Think I’ll say I don’t understand…ooh, is that the new red jeep?’

Short skirt looks in the mirror,
‘Think that it’s the end of the day,
Think I need to sleep now and kid myself I’m okay’.

~I haven't memorized all of the cute things to say but I'm working on it~

I about fell out of my chair laughing. Yet, i fear the true brutality of your work will go unabsorbed. Perhaps its just aswell?

umm... hmmm.... that was..... different.

I don't really understand the point, but I found it entertaining and a little humerous. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for, but I would like to know what you are trying to say with this because I think it's worth hearing, just maybe in a clearer way? skirts don't talk... i'm kinda lost.

I would like to say that this was very new to me. Its almost like a nonchalant kinda poem. We have a identity and a reason this is why I like the second and last stanza in particular. This was very nice and different.

I had feared that an uprising may have ensued, now I realise I need not have worried, short skirts have no back bones...

Yeah...not a single person showed any indication of understanding the underlaying theme. Actually, it really wasn't underlaying...it was the only theme present...and...oh well. I suppose it makes in more comical for me...
