A Day in My Life The problems of my life way heavy on my mind like that of a led bar. I struggle to surpass them and am bound by my own dillusion that my troubles will pass like a storm in the night. Each day I recognize but never resolve anything. I seem to stray further and make my road to salvation that much longer. I am my own demon and my mind is my own demise. I seem to think that my problems can be solved with the rub of a lamp and some mystical creature will turn the tables of my life. I long for the day that I'll emrge from the sewer of my life and stand once more in the sunshine that it seems so many others have found. The day will come when I will wake up and start to live life instead of forsaking it. Be yourself. Say what you feel. Nothing is wrong. To your own self be real!! |

I remember I used to think that when I turned eighteen I would be able to straighten things out. Turns out...the longer you wait the harder it gets. This is an excellent write. Vulnerable and insightful, candid and honest. Use those traits on your life like you do on your poetry and you should be on your way. Peace, courage and determination to you... If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |
