We walk hand in hand
Even when I’m alone
Because I hold him in my heart
Wherever I may go

When I look into the mirror
I see his loving face
When I’m crying in a corner
I feel his warm embrace

He told me to be myself
To be proud of who I am
And I’m proud to be his granddaughter
Because he’s such a special man

I’ll never let him go
I won’t let his memory fade
With all his love and wisdom
I new life is what he’s made

He may not be my parent
But I hold him so very close
Because his love was overwhelming
A very healthy dose

I’ll cherish him forever
Wherever I may go
Because with smile upon my heart
And hand inside my hand
I know no matter what I do
I’ll never be alone
I’ll be with this special man

aww..I'm sorry babe. But glad that you have the good memories and are able to look back on them with love and warmth for this obviouly specail man. I had the misfourtune to lose my grandpa this year too..unfortunatly we weren't on the best of terms when he died. I liked the poem very much. It struck a chord in me and I really felt the words. thanks for the read

Indeed, a special man deserves a special poem. I'm sorry for your loss. Though you've lost your grandpa, you will never lose his love.

Im so sorry, and I do understand what you're going through, I lost my grandpa 3 years ago but I still miss him the same.

i think you did a really good job on this poem expressing how you feel about someone in your life... it makes me want to be closer to my grandfather,even though with my reasons i cant be , but anyways great job and keep writing

thanks very much. i read it at his funeral and i put a copy in his coffin and some way it gives me comfort. i plan on sticking around and putting up more poetry. sorry i disapeared there.
