Standing In Silence...

I keep tellin' myself
That this can't go one,
That this won't go on.
But by the end of this,
I'll know that all along,
I couldn't have been more wrong.
My pain goes so deep,
Even when darkness surrounds me,
I still find it hard to sleep.
Ya'll don't know much,
About what is inside my head.
You could ask me,
But choose to ignore it instead.
You wonder sometimes why I get so upset,
I'm just surprised I haven't exploded yet.
You think everthings okay,
But what I keep wonderin',
Is why pain always finds its way,
Straight to my soul,
And tears me apart inside,
Makes me incomplete-
no longer whole.
Oh how well I can hide,
Whats really goin' on with me.

If You Wanna See A Rainbow, You've Gotta Live Through The Rain. And If You Wanna See Through Love, You've Gotta Live Through The Pain.

wow!! You just discribed my thoughts from the past month..exactly how I felt around the group of my so called "friends" Wonderfull poem. It got a reaction out of me and that's what all great writing does, pulls a reaction out of the reader. Wonderful job.
