pounding in your ears.
The beating of your heart,
is all the demon hears.

Run! Run! Run!
Its getting further away.
A chill runs up your spine,
you see it getting closer everyday.

Sooner or later you'll
fall straight to the ground.
You're almost in its clutches,
don't turn around!

Run! Run! Run!

Don't look back,
you're almost there.
Fatal mistake- you see it smile,
and its teeth are bare.

A chill runs up your spine,

RUN!!! RUN!!! RUN!!!
Oh just keep runnin' from the pain.
Don't listen to its words,
don't ever let it gain.

Run...Run...Run...
Addicted...to running...from yourself.

I haven't read a lot of what you've written, but of what I have... that's definitely one of your best.

Amazingly you managed to avoid the cliche of what I was expecting to read. I have read a lot of your work, although I can't say I've replied to it all... I found this to be enticing.. it kept me wanting to read. VERY NICE JOB!!!

Wow...Thank you everyone. I'm glad you all liked this. I believe this is difently one of my better poems..but yes, thanks for the replies.
