When I was young, on a dark, dark night, Mommy and daddy, would argue and fight, and I would lay awake in my bed, Wanting them to forgive, for what each said, When one day mommy sat down with me, And told me the future that came to be, And at the time I never understood, And when I grew older I knew that I would, I took it all out on myself, When mommy took his pictures off the shelf, And never did he see me, or watch me grow up, Teach me things, or bring me luck, But Mommy met a brand new guy, And night after night I still would cry, But the new man, was more then I thought, The best fish at sea that mom ever caught, He was like my father, and always there, And unlike daddy, he always cares. |

This is a very good poem. I can relate to this perfectly. Really good job! As I smile at everyone else, I'm dying inside... ~Me |
