Of a statue standing lean and tall Head poised as if challenging the very sky Above him, I lean to one side, my arm bracing my body Listening to the silence Overtaking air. In white clouds of blue sky...aside the statue Pleasant is the scene on the fountains, where birds perch Chirping a blithe melody, perhaps a fugue That Bach had never written. Then, like a dot on this paper world, I sat on the stony steps with my hands behind my head ...As I sigh, Watching the birds fly away. After a while, I decided to take a walk, somewhere As the stony steps were getting kind of cold. I passed by an old wooden bench, That had crumbles of bread laid dry on cement. I picked up the crumbs and saved it And with these enclosed hands, inward my pocket I made my way towards the fountain. I opened my palms. "They must be hungry," I thought. So I laid the bread, one by one...slowly to the moisture Then I, seeing it float, Was reminded of a poem I once wrote That's been folded in a paper boat But had left it by a nearby lake... * * * * * An oldie poem, still a favorite. Collaberation with an old friend. Enjoy as I have. Leah |

It'd be quite difficult not to enjoy something like this. I'm curious - who did you collab with?? I actually really enjoyed reading this and while my brain is in a certain position where it's taking everything in, I can't spit my output out properly. The ending is simply beautiful though. A job well done indeed. Keep 'em coming, deary. ~AF~ I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant. |

Oh, I've got my fix of Leah poetry again! This is beautiful! It's almost impossible to distinguish between your parts and your friend's. That's what I call a good collab. I've missed you and your writing. I can't wait to read more... --Marie "You can be idealistic for all of ten seconds before you die." (Imitation of Life) |

EJ- !!! Well, to answer your question, this collaberation was done with the most honorable anonymous albert, most commonly known as ALBY! And so forth. Today is his birthday by the way. Thanks for stopping by and raising it from the sunken depths below. MARIE!!! MARIE MARIE MARIE!!! *as everyone begins to think Leah is a psycho*- YOU'RE BACK! How we've missed you...I! I MISSED YOU! Won't you soon grace us with your poetry? Alby keeps saying that the only reason why it was a good collab was because he wrote most of it. He's a poo, and he knows it. In any case, thank you for commenting. It's good to see you around again! xxshadowxx- thank you muchly. I appreciate it. blueyedlioness- lol, sorry...just chuckling at a VERY vague pun there. But thanks! (^,^) REQUIEM:- always a pleasure. |
