Tonight, I thought to myself, life without me. I thought about it so much it happened in my dreams. One minute I was standing next to you, and the next, I'm lying in the coffin, made for one. I'm watching everyone from above now, and I want you to know that I'm better now. Life is better down there without me. Though I see the inner tears among your hearts. The pain I left you all with. I didn't realize it would be like that. But at that moment, I didn't care. I wanted to be dead... Then I saw his innocent smile that made me smile- his gentle eyes staring straight at mine, but it was too late, I was already dead. A child's heart cries for me, the innocent baby mourns. I saw him as I was leaving, reaching for the sky with his opened arms, only he knew that I would not be around no more. Only he knew but could do nothing. I watch you all, live day after day, you move on and forget me... Tonight, I thought to myself life without me. One minute I'm standing there smiling, the next I'm the person sleeping forever it her rightful place. ********************************************* The he and his or whatever is my Godson who brings great joy when he isn't beating me up. His 26 months old...I might not keep this up long and and if you read the whole thing, thanks. At least you know how I feel and sorry it's so long... |

I really liked this poem, it had great imagery. No, I don't think this was too long. It fit perfectly! Good job. ~Jess "The reason I talk to myself is that I'm the only one whose answers I accept." |
