Why must we always follow a path
All the way through life?
Just because it's there and straight
Doesn't mean it's right.

Sure it might be easy
To follow this clear path
Worn by many footsteps
With no obstacles in sight.

This may be easy
But it will never be that fun
Where is the excitement
In Living life with nothing to shun?

Why must we always follow this path
To our predetermined fate?
Isn't it more fun to travel through the woods?
It's a decision you must make.

That's a cool poem. My path is not a straight one. I feel I have to many mountains on my road, and sometimes it dead ends

I liked these two stanzas especially:

"Why must we always follow a path

Thank you for writing this poem. I couldn't have read it at a better time. And I think that's what makes a poem beautiful - that someone is meant to find it and it seems that really it has found something in you. Nice job.
