My spine tickels, right down to the bone, I am struck, struck hard with a stone, Not knowing where from, A door slams, Hard against the wall, Like a drum, Fills me with horror, "Who is there," I call, maybe through the door, or perhaps what I saw, Out of the corner of my eye, I shall wait til' it or I die, Whomever shall be first, I dare not ask, Waiting is my task, I wait, silent, my back hunched and bent, Perhaps I am the bait, The fish in the sea, I quietly wait, I wait for my fate, A rustle of the curtain, Slowly, I dont know, What to do then, I can't breathe nor blink, My soul, It drops low and shall sink, Life is my goal, Or perhaps death shall be, In the dark, I cannot see, A shift in wind, The room shall bend, It approaches, Closer to me, As it says, I must get away from he, What he says, That is the key, I shall wait all night, Not to dare put up a fight, who is this person, What do I do? Or perhaps, is he thinking the same thing too? I wait, Silently, though I cannot see, I know he is looking right at me, Watching, Waiting, I want to begin running, But my legs won't move, I can't move, None of me, I can't move nor can I see, I can hear and feel, This man staring at me, We stare at each other, I don't even bother, To think, Nor do I want to see, I want to be free, Rather than be with He, Thee in my home, I see his face, Big as a dome, He suddenly loudly sighs, And his eye's, I wait, hunched over, my back arched, he comes closer, I am frightened, I dont know what to think, My sould, It drops low and shall sink. |

This poem reminds me of a part in a book I'm reading. "Intensity," by Dean Koontz. But this is a very good poem. It has wonderful imagery. I can picture everything perfectly! Nice write! As I smile at everyone else, I'm dying inside... ~Me |
