Within the Soul of a Lost Child

A thousand tears could never explain how the hurt sits in my heart
With my head in my hands, I asked the Lord why He was so vein and what I did wrong
Why He took you away from me, and how He thought I could go on
It was like poison swimmin' in my gut
I wanted to lean over the toilet, regurgetate the truth until my heart gave up
I was so young, but at such a loss of words
When I reflect on my childhood, a tear falls
So much time wasted, and it still hurts
No matter how much I try to keep it hidden, it still haunts my thoughts
The fact that I was abandoned by everyone but my mom
Is unexplainable, and that hole in my heart will remain as it sits and rots.

It was good. Really good. Being lost isn't easy.

I enjoyed this.  Dealing with bad things is a part of life.  My advice...don't blame God.  We are our own people and we will stand on our own two feet.

My theory is that God gives us hardships to make us stronger.  It's the only way I can understand it.  Just remember before you go asking God questions.  She is unknowable.

Also just remember, all of God's chosen, have never lead easy lives.  All the prophets, true followers, even Jesus.  Can any of their lives be called easy?

Take what comes one day at a time.  Accept the hardships in your life as your cross to bear.  Bear it and go on.   You'll grow to become what God needs you to be.  Then and only then will you find your personal Heaven.

But...you have my vote.  I know what it is to think God is out against you.  And now I just bear my cross.

Very forceful poem, I mean that in a good way.
The emotions in this are very strong, I was hooked with the first line.
Excellent, my vote for this one!

Oh my, I'm so sorry...it must be terrible to have suffered with such loneliness. This was a very good poem and it hit me...I like poems who make you really think and actually envision being in the person's shoes. You have my vote.
