When you cry,
I'll be there.
When you need a friend,
I'll be there.
If you need someone to talk to,
I'll be here for you.
Because every breath you take,
I'll be by your side.
All rules I can abide.
To someone who tried,
To someone who cried.
All hugs you gave,
Are actually what I can save.
That question, that night, that hug,
And beautiful sight.
Along with the last call saying good-bye.
That is when I knew you most cared.
That way you've cared, this is the least I can do.
And this is why I thank you.
By me, you're always,
Loved, cared for, missed,
And most importantly,
My friend.
