"Man's Woman" (04/04/03) © 2003 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved And my heart's not a stuntman, more like a castle of sand, for I'm the glasshouse and you're the stone, won't you please leave me alone. Still you keep cracking my walls, though it's my court and my ball, you have been benching me for each game, making me feel so ashamed... HOW CAN A MAN'S WOMAN BE SO CRUEL, MAKING HIM FEEL LIKE A COMPLETE FOOL. BUT THE RULES HAVE CHANGED, WE'VE BEEN RE-ARRANGED. AND NOW I AM IN THE DRIVER SEAT, FROM NOW ON I'M THE ONE PLAYING LEAD. THERE'S A CHANGE IN PLANS, NOW I WEAR THE PANTS. HOW CAN A MAN'S WOMAN... I'm packing, boxing my stuff, cause I've had more than enough, if your government wants any votes, losen the grip on my load. And stop filthing on my clothes, dug your grave the way you chose, I'd help you up but it's not worth it, it seems my timing's perfect... CHORUS Things you did there's no excuse for, so now I am outta that door. I walk on the street with a smile, thinking you missed the golden times. you're not dreaming, for I'm leaving, Goodbye... Brian~ Nice job on this one. I could hear the strong voice behind your words. Well done. ~Vicky "...until you have read the verse on his heart, |
