The things we say
In this winter heat
Know no end
But we know
No beginning
It is only here
Only now
That the sweet vulgarities
Mean so much
We can say forever
But when does forever exist?
We can drown in each other
But sometime we'll need to
Breathe
Nights only last
Until the sun rises
We can dream in our sleep
But we always wake
One day
We might be strangers
We all change
But memories are true
And never fade.

it seems like you captured to knowledge that love and lust do have way of dying sometimes
and that the moments they remain alive are what really matter...great job on portraying that.

"Nights only last until the sun rises." I especially like that line, but the whole poem is beautiful. You're metaphors and imagery were beautiful! Very nice work! You have my vote!

This is so beautiful, and very true too!
