Okay, I'm not sure where I got the inspiration for this one, but I did so I guess that's that. It's a rather touchy subject, and I'm not usually one to cover such a contreversial subject, but, I am! lol Anyway, you don't have to like it, but please let me know what you think. "FOREWORD TO DEATH" BY ABORTION This child was to be the most beautiful thing That the world was to ever see So many plans were in store for this life A cure for aids, a helping hand Listening ears for a life unable to turn around But that's all in the past now That is all left behind Why was this life created? It was long before its time Just one quick ride across the town As the day became night A night of fun, just a one night stand Wouldn't see each other again... No repercussions of this night gone wrong That all changed that day she cried She found out that she holds the future To a life that is not her own That never should have happened Never heard from the lover Figured he'd left as soon as he heard the news Who would have thought at just sixteen She would have to make a decision On something that she would never even dream So take that cure for aids Another helping hand Ears to listen to a life going down the drain Thrown on the ground Like a lit cigar Stomped on, sent into oblivion Never to be found Only left to regret And not able to be redone - Cody - Note To Self: If Pigs Can Fly, So Can I!!! If someboy laughs at me, does that make me funny or just plain stupid? [This message has been edited by CwboyAtHeart (03-07-2003 11:36 PM).] |

Wayyy too true in so many cases. Way to "communicate effectively" haha. (I'm such a dork!) But really, flowed well enough (I almost typed 'flowered') and was well contructed, all that technical shtuff. Bueno job, keep it upp! and I dunno what else to say. We all have to face down the demons... |

I thought that this was very touching. I recently found out exactly what the procedure is for having an abortion and I was so upset about it for weeks. It`s a very touchy subject for me and I`m glad you wrote such a wonderful poem expressing it. I`m sure if some people researched it and found out the torture that goes on I believe they would be as shocked as I was. Thank you again for sharing such a great work. *Allison* |

I really liked this poem! I could never write about such a touchy subject, so I wanna give you a hand! LOL. I am anti-abortion, and everything I read in this poem proves my point of why. I really enjoyed reading this piece and hope to see more from you! ~J.Lynn "In life you must dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening and love like it's never going to hurt..." |

Cody, you know I love your stuff. This poem is really great... it is definitly a subject nobody really acknowledges. I mean look at how much grief Tim McGraw got for his song "Red Ragtop" you did a really good job on this. lol, I'd really like to know where you got the inspiration... nice job cody, thanks for sharing -Erica- |

Cody~ Hey! I haven't talked to you in a while, been pretty busy, how are you doing? Talk to me sometime! I truley thought this piece exquisite. Simply put it was touching, you did a marvoulus job of creating a picture and showing emotion without being "preachy" about it. I'm glad to see you up and posting again and I'm glad to see such deep and wonderful works coming from you! ~Live and Laugh~ People always ask me why I don't look toward my future I tell them to many interesting things are happening today. |

Cody, this is not one of the forums I frequent regularly, but your title caught my eye. Very impressive poem and I hope it will help many who are thinking abortion is their only solution. I wrote this poem and posted it on Monday. You might want to take a look! /pip/Forum64/HTML/001652.html Hugs, Marti Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts. |
