I'm sorry I hate that band And I never wanted to go see them Part of me Wishes I had been there I would've thrown myself In front of you Had he shot his bullet At you. He didn't It's funny You could be gone and I never would've Even worried about it. I'm sorry Your girlfriend [My best friend] Shows you no affection She gets bored Real easily. Does she even know About your life and death Experience of the night prior? I doubt it. I'm sorry I thought Maybe being your friend Would keep my feelings At bay It didn't. 'Cause now You're all I think about. I'm sorry I let you give me Your jacket You should've given it To your girlfriend She was cold too. I'm sorry. I don't know why I'm apologizing. Hmm. These days it seems my poems go unnoticed. It makes me sad. But. What can I do? Well, I can reply to my own poem to maybe draw attention to it.  |

Well, this one appears quite frank and obvious, but is really about something else entirely. Intriguing. Glad he is okay now. Try not to get involved with friend's ex's is my only advice; problems WILL ensue. Keep writing. Yeah, I know all about how it's bad to date your friend's ex. But. See, she knew when she starting dating him that I liked him. The first time they went out she called me prior and apologized over and over. But, I couldn't do anything about it. Now she's breaking up with him soon and I think she'd probably encourage us getting together. Not that he would ever have any interest in me...Eh. Anyway, thanks for reading my poem. |
