In darkness, there I heard the beckon call and to it I fly like a fool above to find my end within your darkest eyes. I know my fate will end this day; ALONE. No blood within NOR dagger sin, I fly away from all you try to make me see. But then there lies the end of every soul and someone must adop the angel's role. No more will there be pain enough to cry about the torment given unto me. When given pain my eyes will newly rise. I stare at blood-stained faces and go home. In Heaven, There I heard a pain filled call and fly as though never been hurt by Love. No angels in heaven nor demons below the sea, could ever dissever my soul from the soul of the beautiful Annabel Lee |

sorry it's taken so long... This post has been long overdo of a bump... this needs to be seen. The imagery and vcabulary are wonderful in this piece, further inhancing the idea and the point you're portraying. The couplet in the middle of the poem adds a rhyming overview, and while it may seem random, and it actually fits well. Your darkness if received well in this poem, the effects capture the heart's cold nature. This is beautiful... a wonderful portrayal of hurt, but rising above during the inevitable. Beautiful work, Bryan... *bump* --Marie "You can be idealistic for all of ten seconds before you die." (Imitation of Life) |
