Sink into that addicting smile As we try to cross the boundries Of what we limit ourselves to To see the stars from up above Shining rainbow colors and blinding eyes We need not fear What stirs the hate In this so called "Melting Pot" If we are supposed to intertwine In harmony... Then we have no need for A color coded sociaty Instead of a "Melting Pot" We are more like a bag of M&Ms With everybody locked inside Their thin candy shell It is sad that some Red M&Ms dislike the Blue Just because they have a different color Aren't they all chocolate on the inside? Why limit our people to color or race? Why can't we be brave, And taste their chocolate, Before we judge them. What happens when you leave M&Ms out in the rain? Thats right! the color washes away And no one can judge based on color anymore You have to taste the chocolate first. |

...Oh wait. That's Smarties... Darkness: Really enjoyed this. Strong message, great analogy. Poetry is a great way to get your message across. Hopefully, everyone will see the message in your words. Keep writing! Leah |

Yay! M&M's are soooo good. I really liked this and the message is soooo true. Great job with relating race to colors of something of interest. Laura "All that I desire to point out is the general principle that Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life." |

That was a great message that should be herd by everyone. we are all the same inside, it is too bad that there are shallow people out there that worry about skin color, relgion, or even the clothes we wear or music we listen to. we are all humans and we all deserve the same respect! it is so true when they say treat others like you want to be treated. great poem! keep up the good work! |

To repeat everyone else great analogy... But what are those limited edition colors you sometimes get in M&M's ? Are they aliens? Great poem! There should be a psychology of feet. For do we not make decisions with our legs and walk about on our brains? What do you mean "No, not really"? |
