Man lays on middle ground, His bones go softly shaking, But how to cure the ailment? Thirst for choice, For choice is first, Yet last I thirst to be. A worthy lie or hateful truth, Half the dose or touch the moon, To stay the pain or walk the path. The darkness is weak, The weak feel free, Yet free is not for me. Man lies on, melancholy, His mind goes swiftly snaking, On how to feed the demons The pain of heat, The heat of ice, Yet ice I wish to be. When all is said and spoken, A life left cracked and broken, Leaves not a worthy token. Solipsism saves us from the atavism of the Equalitarian. |
