I've made this mistake once before
and in all of my ignorance I made it once more

I don't know what i ever saw in you
I guess I thought there was nothing more I could do

For some reason I thought we'd be together forever
But now I realize anybody is better

What you did to me was horrible, the cheating,  the lies
Without me knowing,  all my money went to buying you drugs, and bribing your alabis

"Oh baby,  i don't have any gas" is what you would say
Then i find out you were at a party with some chick you met just the other day

All my friends told me "you're just gonna get hurt"
You proved them right and trampled on my heart in the dirt

I thought I loved you, I really did
But then you went and acted like a little kid!

Life isn't always about havin' sex and gettin' high
Maybe one day you'll learn not to cheat and lie

Until then forget it, get out of my life
You'll never realize that yo ucaused me so much strife!

But no matter what you did
I have to learn to forgive

I got up, I moved on
But the heartache will live long

Other guys will come and go
But this I will always know

I will never again be stupid and blind
To the games you guys play to get on down the line

I know now that you didn't really care
But you need to know you can't just put love out there

Love has meaning; it comes straight from the heart
It's not just somthing you can throw like a dart

I hope I taught you a lesson by breaking your heart in the end
Maybe now you wont play with emotions like an ignorant kid.

live,love,and die...but take RISKS..thatz what makes life worth the living, love worth the heartache,and death the new beginning!

wowww i REALLLy liked this poem. I think your sucha good writer!! i kno people say this a lot but i can definately relate to this situation... i kno badddd it is! :-(
i really liked these lines:

The line about trampling your heart in the dirt was nothing short of magnificent. Great imagery (I actually saw a heart lying on the ground getting trampled when I was reading this one......which was kinda sick). Great job again.

I love the power in this piece.
This is a 'take charge', 'I'm not going to take it anymore'
poem, and I like that.
No one deserves that kind of treatment,
and I'm glad to see that you've stood up for yourself.
