So is the "black satin skin" the burnt layer of your mashed potatoes?  I don't know if I fully got the meaning of this one. Maybe it was just a fun poem about how you can't cook to save your life, I am not sure.  I'll come back and read it when I have more time. Umm, Parasite, I have no idea what this is about... Just random things were floating through my head and I was thinking about black satin and how soft satin is (I have black satin dress that I get the joy of wearing next Saturday...  ). I was also thinking about the texture of satin in pertains to the texture of skin and that's where the title and line "black satin skin" came from. I'll email you.. I just haven't been able to acess my darn computer lately... mean people.... ahhh. Have to go.... Classs. School sucks... Will write more later. |

Free time is great.... Ahh... Okay, more about this poem (for any who care): This poem is all about skin. Line analysis: "smooth as butter, warm like a biscuit from an oven" - skin is warm... smooth, soft. I love to just rub my hands up and down "someone's" back (not just anyone... but "someone". "Creamy soft icile dream" - skin is often cool, like when you pull an icile off of something in the winter time... it's not too cold, but obviously it is not warm. "Candy cane and gum drop world" - sugar sweet goodness, that's it. "dripping shades of goodnes" - pertains to rain "burnt mashed potatoes and sour cream" - my grandmother makes these awesome mashed potatoes that are burned (not scorched or anything, just lightly burnt) and they're heavenly... sour cream is cold and great. "Grape Kool-aid sugar wish" - I always talk on the phone at night while sitting in my special chair in the living room and drinking a glass of Kool-aid and this is when the most important moments of the day usually occur. "chocolate chip melted land" - chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven are the best ever.... Yes, I'll admit, I cannot cook... but this is not what it's all about... Sorry.
