Afflicted Last battle for all the admitted. For all those on drugs addicted. Avoid me like a disease, like a plague. Stay away from me. I'm afflicted. For me a life's a waste. Never been liked, never been needed. I never knew the taste of one kiss. Don't tell me again, I get the jist. No way you'll prove you wrong. But it was for me especially this curse was fitted. This curse of the afflicted. Anthem, standard, motto and call. Alone I stand and alone I fall. I will only die with no one at all. I just don't fit in, hidden in my shroud. Can't comiserate, don't belong in the crowd. In one thing I know I can't be proud, Being needed, being accepted, being loved and all that. But I can only go on, without looking back. Looking back hurts be too bad. I hope my affliction takes me away soon. Resting in peace, surrounded by the cemetary gloom. -Petey Those who live by the sword, get shot by those who don't. |

Great poem always nice to see some maudlin poems keep it up! Solipsism saves us from the atavism of the Equalitarian. |
