Dust Man Day the ashes of my hours reflected and collected in the dust bin the dust man rattles by and heaves them high into the crusher the musher that condenses history into crumbs and ironed replicas of moments gone forever crumble in the sun in some faraway recess of Earth no monuments erected only odors dejected ev’ry now and then inspected for rats and the like and London Bridge’s refrain echoes a strain of living if there were anyone to hear there may be a sound "Ashes, ashes," they "all fall down." ©August 29, 2002 |

The mood and message are somewhat poignantly similar to my second posting in PIP on page 8---"The Mighty Oak". Have a looksee if you please! I think you did a masterful job with this piece! Love, Light & Laughter Linda |

VAS you have neatly condensed the essence of our lives in this poem. Kethry Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind. Unknown |
