somebody's dungeon

0 posted 2002-08-23 12:39 PM

Still my thoughts are shadowed
by some long forgotten deed
that seems to want
to stick around in my brain
in a neverending
finger pointing, blaming
carnival of my sins atmosphere
that more than tears at my soul
it steals the small amount of sanity
I have managed to covet.

I tire of this invasion
upon my life, my very existence.
Oh that I could find
that small corner once again
where life was not painful,
where this clown of guilt
didn't have free reign
to destroy in his comic treachery
my happiness, and peace.

This I would keep close to me
never again letting it slip
through my fingers
but hoarding it like water
in a land barren with drought
keeping it pure and simple
in it's liquid warmth
that the barrier will always
be there against the onslaught.

WhiteRose

Touch me with your whispers,
and I'll listen with my heart.

wonderful!
and working on several layers
do not let the past
chew on the present
like a worrytoy
and the rainrainrain
where are you?
very good

Especially like the Clown allusion
Really pounds out the complexity of the grief.
And grief is so hard to let go
Always the pondering of is it my fault

Very nice

(smiles) Yes, divide a line between the carnival and your happy place and always stay on the happy side of the barrier and let all your tears drift away! (sigh) This is powerful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Outstanding, Anne
You have also taken a large stride forward in your writing.

In reply to "which way do we go?", the answer was never "straight", but, "progressively forward".
