Today the wind blew the wild rose suffered there on the shore so vulnerable..unbuffered. I watched as it's blossoms broke..and flew apart I felt the pain of loss deep within my heart. It's majestic scarlet pedals littering the ground so many gave up without the slightest sound. It whipped in the wind it's beauty fading fast I wondered how many flowers would be strong enough to last. As the wind died down I walked to the shore the mighty wild rose still stood after the storm. All it's beautiful blossoms were gone..blown away I cried for my giant had it seen it's last day? As I went to walk away tears stinging my eyes I saw a tiny rosebud much to my surprise. Buried deep inside away from the winds rage ready to bloom again ready for a new day. I walked away smiling my wild rose still lives it's beauty will return it still has much to give. WhiteRose "The first rule of poetry, write what you know." |

Very beautiful. I like how descriptive this is. Cold hands means a warm heart |

A rose as seen through the eyes of a poetess. You see the beauty inherent within, even when the bloom has gone. Lovely EA |
