I am the Shepard

Symbols and words are the sheep of my herds.
And with dogmas’ help I turn them to birds
We fly them into the fields of the sky
And fatten them on my fantasies lie.

They feed me and warm me and keep me alive
They Isle me and wile me and help me survive.
And they birth me with folds of stories untold
With never a whimper of fear or the cold

I am the Shepard and they are the tune
They lie in the fields and bay to the moon.
They weave me a web that’s silver and gold
That makes a man shiver when stories are told.

They help me deliver and market my goods
Right in the forest in the prime of the woods
They whisper and talk in the language of sheep
And that is the broth of the rhymes that I reap.

It’s only a way of expressing my goal
One of the paths that lead to my soul

Great work here Sheperd Sigh.....Have ya ever gone to restaurant...have just a drop dead gorgeous waitress....order a Sheepherder's dinner?.....They always ask; "What's a Sheepherder's dinner?"..and you reply...."A little bit of ewe"......or, you can be like Balladeer.....he goes in, tells the waitress....."Burn me two pieces of toast and bring me a cup of cold coffee...I'm homesick"

Good morning Mr. T.! You are a super sonneteering shepherd! Indeed that is what you are---and word has it, you're a lot more than that! hehe

If I were a little lamb (which I am!), I'd want you to be my shepherd--I know you'd take very good care of me---just as you have all your fine words!

Sy, I'm a little late this morning and didn't get to enjoy this beauty with my tea but reading it with lunch works well also.

Thank you for being the shepard and leading so many of us, especially me.
I am grateful for your presence and your inspirational leadership.

Baaaaa....hugs, Marti

Same as NewEng., though it's late morning here.

....that makes a ~wo~ man shiver when stories are told.....that is me alright...(ok, so you lose the rhythm)
I'll read it the perfect way you wrote it.

And I am glad you are willing to share them with us.  As usual, thank you kind sir.

Warm Regards.

Seymour - I couldn't be on the puter earlier to-day, but had to find your morning offering before getting my jammies on and settling on the couch for the night. This one is beautiful and will fill my mind with lovely thoughts to enter any dreams that I might have. Thankyou for making my day complete. hugs, Chris

I have been having computer trouble. I got a new one but have alot to do to transfer all the things on my hard drive to the new one.
My son in law is doing it mostly but he goes back to New York friday. I hope we can get it all done. Love you, miss you.

I wonder, Sey,
whether words are like sheep
and we the shepherds who organize them;
making miracles from wool.

Wonderful writing, amigo!
