She walks in forest
Lost in thought of her lover
No pause for a rest
He has gone to another;
The moist of the dew
Covers the still green grasses
Wetting slippers blue
Leaves a trail as she passes
From forest meadow
To the autumn colored wood
Of deeper shadow
Going farther than she should.
The afternoon goes
Sun tinting the twilight skies
The chilling wind grow
Roosting birds take final flies
To high branches nest
To bed and wait out the night;
Sleeping would be best
But she walks through dimming light
She’s going away
From the cottage once her home
From departure day
From where he left her alone.
Autumn grows cold
Thin dress is no protection
Her heart’s heat is stole
And burns with no emotion,
But dies like the day
Darkening each step of night
Warmth has gone away
Further she leaves her hearth light.
The night has chill breeze
But she feels nothing at all
Hears the shiver of the trees
And nightingale’s call.
The darkness complete
Exhaustion has stopped her there,
He falls to the peat
Lost in the woods of nowhere.
Autumn rapes forest
Pulling down the bold display
To drop to caress
She to whom has lost her way
And blanket her sleep
Retains the last of body heat,
Through the night to keep
Till next morning she can meet.
With morning comes new,
Sunbeams search to warm her bed,
She is chilled all through
And darkness still fills her head,
She’s no forgot now
She had not perished that night,
Body’s forgot how
But her spirit still will fight
So she then rises
To walk deeper in shadows
Sadness reprises
Going to where not she knows
Just walking onward
Through the forest  and meadow
Away not towards
Direction by where wind blows,
Wanders like before
Each day a sunrise and set
There is nothing more
Lost is longing and regret.
Night comes earlier
With the passing of the year
Trees now familiar
The first frosts begins to shear
Slippers faded white
Washed by the frost takes the blue
Fading more each night
Her being washed away too
She sleeps now in day
Wandering with setting sun,
Always moves away,
Humanity she does shun.
Elements not felt
The first snow touches her skin
Does not start to melt
Just carried off on North wind
To gather in leaves
To cover the now brown forms
Piled by Winter breeze.
The weak sun no longer warms
Barely lights the day
Allowing cold to rule the night
And chill children play
Beneath moon and faint starlight.
Occasionally
At twilight is seen moving
A ghost pale is she
Always in forest roving
Keeping from humanity.

I like the way you speak out your emotions and feelings.

Cold hands means a warm heart
